A Leader Who has Compassion for Emotional illness Sufferers

What is Depression?

As a person who has suffered and continues to suffer from Depression and Anxiety in my life, to dire points of deep despair and hopelessness- in my young life and my younger adult life; I am thankful for Elder Jeffrey R. Holland and his words to those with any mental or emotional struggles and hardships in their lives.

Whether you are a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or not, I believe and hope his words and love for you and all of God's Children resonate with you.

You are unique and important, there is always hope- do not give up!

Please read or listen to his talk and see the compassion and love this good brother has for you.
Know you have friends and family who love you regardless of your circumstances in your life.

I missed Sister Stephen's Talk so I will read it and post it here.

If you are interested in listening to the messages of our leaders here are some resources for you;

Trying as hard as we can to find Employment

Since 2011 my husband and I have been searching and applying for hundreds of positions.

Unfortunately, we have not gotten the ones we most desire and would be the best for our family. I've had some interviews, and then about a week later get the email; " We're going ahead with other candidates at this time." I've been working to network on LinkedIn, Facebook, Google+,, and searching open positions on the web for many companies.

Some Companies we have applied for, individually are; Domo, Qualtrics, Apple, A.R.U.P.,Randstand, Google and Flex Marketing Group.

We are searching for open positions that suit either of our needs at; Apple, Microsoft, Domo, Google, Oracle , Qualtrics and Clearlink. I continue to write for my blogs and for Triond and Experts Column. However, I have had little to no revenue thus far for my work.
If you know of any positions that may be open or, if you are hiring please let us know.

Flood Damage! Ewwww!

On Monday we had a problem with a leak in our basement which happened to lead to the sewer line. Gross!  Yep, our basement flooded with sewage but only a small part of our basement was affected.

Our laundry room and some of our rug in our excercise room and the Family Room in the basement got ruined! We probably will end up having to replace all the carpet in 2 rooms downstairs, and I am thankful we have Home Owner's Insurance! That is definately going to help us big time with the losses which have occurred.

We had to hire some of these guys; Commercial Plumbers to clean out the soft sewage leak.

We went with Whipple Service Champions which were pretty good.
Then a Flood Damage company came in and took out some of our walls and sheet rock and our carpet that were all damaged. Then, we talked to our Home Owner's Insurance and Filed a Claim due to Flood Damage.

This is more or less what our basement resembles, except it's dryer now.

Of course, I'm grateful it wasn't this bad!

We got ourselves an Adjuster who came over and looked at the damage the same day the Flood Damage people and the plumbers did their jobs.

Having a flood in my basement is not fun, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!

I hope you all have a great weekend! We are going to a Wedding Reception tonight!
So excited!

Still kind of feeling like this though;

You Deserve Happiness!

Today, I wanted to share a message I read today that filled my heart with hope, and my soul with joy.
I love reading the Blog; Positively Positive every day.
It is indescribable to explain, and impossible to duplicate.
Let me share the link from the website.

Please read this and think how much I love you, and how much God loves you and your families.
How important you are to this world, and how critical your prescence is here on earth at this time.
It's just a spectacular feeling, to know in your bones, and in your heart that you matter to the world.

A True Friend

A friend is like a golden ray of sunshine, peeking through the dark night.
A light in the darkness of life.
Someone who shares your joys and sorrows, and lifts you to higher ground daily.
A hug from them, or a kind word or deed; can lift your heart from despair to pure happiness.

Distance makes the heart grow fonder with true friends.
Even if you have not seen each other in years, warm thoughts and sweet words are exchanged; friendship shines like a roaring flame.

I have heard it once said that; " Friends are a single soul dwelling in two bodies."

While I know we have distinct and separate souls, I like to think that it means that we are one in unity and purpose. Dear friends often have similar values and goals in this journey we call life. The joy of human love and friendship is you can have relationships and true friendship, with someone as different from you; as night is from day.
Mutual respect, kindness and an understanding towards dynamic values among friends gives us eternal perspective.

God knew we could not sojourn on this earth alone, so he gave us the opportunity to build eternal relationships that last forever. I believe that friendships are some of those golden opportunities.

Happy Mother's Day! Thank you to all the Mentors and Teachers and Wonderful Moms out there

What does it mean to be an Angel Mother?

A blessed balm of God, a rightous vessel of heaven- someone who listens when you need to talk.

A Mother holds you and hugs you when you need strength, she compliments your efforts and accomplishments.

She always reminds you that doing your best is the most important at everything you do, and you are always a winner at life.

A Mother gives you encouragement and hope for the future.

She realizes the beauty and majesty of you just the way you are.

Yet, gently nudges you to reach your goals and aspirations.

Mother explains that no one can tell you, you are not good enough, or that you cannot do any particular thing.

The words, "I can't"- are not in her dictionary. You can do and be anything and anyone you choose and set your mind to be.

The best Mother, is a Teacher and Facilitator, a guide for life.

She teaches by constant and quiet example- reminds you when to wash your hands and face, go to the restroom, helps fix your food and teaches you manners.

She may be bossy at times, she wants to teach you to be determined and safe.

To be wise and firm, yet kind.

She bakes with you, you love to help.

She cleans and tidies up the home, or may sometimes prefer to leave it messy to spend time with you.

You are her priority. Her spouse and her children. She loves you dearly, and so does your Heavenly Mother.

Human Resources Fail- Assistant Directors and District Managers are not Human Resources People

After being attacked by various people today and treated very rudely and and unfairly, and not being apoligized to by 2 people who should have fixed and addressed safety issues, and violations of Standard Operating Procedures, and tried to help me feel better- I've realized that a position is more than just money. If you want to work somewhere where you are treated well- you somehow need to make sure management takes care of its Employees First. Because, the Employees are the reason the organization works- if we are not treated fairly or well, retention will not be good, and turn around fast.

I was told I do not come to work by someone in charge, when I missed only 1 day this week because I was throwing up all night the night before, and I missed 3 days when I had a D&C Surgery. An organization run mostly by bossy women who are power trippy and rude is not always a good thing. I cried hard this afternoon.

I talked to a Human Resources person at the Corporate location and indicated the direness of the situation, and hopefully other people will not have to deal with the same problems I have with bad management and poor treatment. A Regional Corporate Person may call me soon to try to help, but as of now I am not working for them anymore, due to 2 people who did not want to help or solve a situation- and treat an employee right.

I feel bad for the women and men that are treated the way I have been lately and hope it never happens again.

The Sickly adventures of me lately

I believe I have caught a virus somehow, which in my line of work is not hard to do- working with Teachers and little children who come to Daycare sick.

On Monday, I had some pre-emptive symptoms; severe dry mouth, dizziness, nausea, severe migraine and a hard time focusing. I believe that it was partially due to the fact that I had only drank 8 oz. of water that whole day. The moment I told my Manager I was not feeling well, and I could not see straight, that my head was spinning- my statements were disregarded entirely and I was written up for directions I followed. Her directions were not clear, and the person decided to write me up for something that I believe I did right and was the manager's problem with miscommunication. So, here I am barely able to walk straight, I could hardly drive on my break- and I am seriously ill, my Supervisor and Manager do nothing about it. My request for assistance was completely disregarded, due to ratios of children to teachers, even though there were 3 other Teachers there who could have helped and come to my aid.

I drank lots of water yesterday, and still was somewhat dizzy, but was able to focus better. I thought I was better to be honest. I finished the whole day at work and went to a meeting with my husband at 7-8:30. We had a late dinner around 8:30 and nothing seemed to be a problem until about 11 pm when i just started throwing up out of nowhere it seemed like, an I threw up all night long and into the morning, oh yeah, and the other thing I don't like to say the word about- that was really bad all night long and in the morning
I have had hot and cold severe chills all day and severe body aches. It is 74 degrees in my house and I feel like it is 32 degrees. I was asleep from about 10 am to 3:30 pm and felt a bit better when I woke up.

The only thing is, I woke up with really bad sweats and was super hot, so I stripped and then in 15 minutes I had really bad cold chills, I tried freezing them out, not being under the covers- but it backfired and that got worse. Then I got under the covers and they got worse again. I had my hubbs help me get dressed in warm clothes and was still freezing. I am still a little cold now, but my body temperature is nearing homeostasis I think. I have had to drink 7 up and some Gatorade really slowly and eat some crackers. Have not thrown up since this morning. But still bad cold and hot sweats and chills. Please pray for my healing. Chelsea
